After Chappelow: Ladue Hopes To Offer Next Superintendent A Contract By March

The district is now looking for a search firm.

The Ladue School district has issued a request for proposals (RFPs) from search firms interested in working to help find the district's next superintendent.

The RFP does not identify a specific budget for the search. It indicates a desire to announce the selected firm by November 16, after public interviews with search firm candidates earlier in the month.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is October 19.

The request said the district would like to have a contract in place with the next superintendent by March 4, 2013 after a national search.

What's the most important attribute Ladue should look for in a new superintendent?

The most important attribute for the next superintendent is the coiurage to stand up for principle and the truth. Let's hope the next one has the political courage to tell those sudents who participate in "Slam Week" that they will be expelled permanently and immediately. Let's also hope that some of those Ladue Lawyer fathers will make it clear that anything less will result in every legal and ethical action against the Ladue School Board that is appropriate. Hopefully, they will put their daughters before their business relations. R. W. Kent Ward IV Creve Coeur

How much do you want to bet that we will spend all this money doing a massive National search and then find the "best possible candidate" was right here all the time.
