Connecting The Dots From Parkway To The White House

Local band teacher rides "Sidewinder" train to the People's House.

I have to admit that I had no idea that the now famous viral band "Sidewinder", the Missouri Air National Guard's 571st Air Force Band, had a tie to the Parkway School district.

Paul Holzen, band teacher, is a part of the now-famous group, which added to its round of recent success Wednesday with a gig at the White House.

According to a press release from the Parkway School district, the band was invited by First Lady Michelle Obama to perform as part of ceremonies honoring of the "Joining Forces" anniversary.
