students might see a familiar face on the NBC Nightly News Saturday or Sunday.
Principal Dr. Kim Brandon confirmed that a team from the show was in town recently to interview Sam Klein, a seventh grade student at the Creve Coeur school, for the newscast's "Making a Difference" segment.
Klein has a passion for recycling and started his own company, Inkcycle Group. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch profiled Klein's efforts to recycle laser toners, laptops, cell phones and other electronics, and then donating proceeds to charity.
The segments, which highlight people doing good things in their communities, typically air toward the end of the newscasts, starting at 5:30 p.m. Keep in mind that "breaking news" or changes in broadcast schedules due to sporting events could impact the airing of the segment.
Either way, we'll be watching!
