De Smet Jesuit Welcoming Kennedy and Aubuchon To Hall

The Creve Coeur school will hold an official ceremony October 3.

When the De Smet Jesuit High School Hall of Fame grows by two in a ceremony at the school next month, it will welcome in one of the school's first Division I athletes and a man who has helped others reach that level.

The school recently announced Craig Aubuchon, M.D. ’72 and Jim Kennedy ’73 as the latest inductees, who will be formally recognized in an October 3 ceremony.

Kennedy was the anchor of the school's first state basketball championship team in 1973 and later went on to play at the University of Missouri. Aubuchon attended De Smet Jesuit, but moved out of state before graduation and has since been given an honorary degree. He's the father of three De Smet Jesuit students and serves as the football team's physician.

Aubuchon joined several existing Hall of Fame members, including former Head Basketball Coach Rich Grawer and Steve Stipanovich, who were recognized at halftime of De Smet Jesuit's football game against Chaminade Friday.
