Everyone is welcome to attend Alzheimer’s Research Update:Changing the Treatment Paradigm in Alzheimer’s Disease- The Role of Biomarkers. Local physician and expert John Morris, MD, will discuss how “biomarkers” (biological indicators) may indicate underlying brain changes that precede symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers at Washington University are preparing to conduct one of the first clinical trials aimed at preventing or delaying the onset of the disease — before patients ever have symptoms – by measuring these biomarkers in individuals who are at risk for a rare, genetic form of Alzheimer’s. Success could result in a paradigm shift in the prevention and treatment of the disease. This event is co-sponsored by Adult Day Center at the J, Alzheimer’s Association, Covenant House & CHAI Apartments, Elderlink St. Louis & St. Louis NORC. RSVP to Sarah Zoller, MSG, MA, Caseworker, 314-442 3261, email@example.com.Staenberg Family Complex, 2 Millstone Campus Drive, 63146. FREE EVENT.
