Ladue Administrators Making A Move Out Of The District

A district assistant superintendent and an administrative intern at Spoede Elementary will assume new roles in the fall in Brentwood.

The woman who essentially functions as the assistant principal at in Creve Coeur will be moving up to the Principal's office in a new district next fall. Trina Petty-Rice was named late last month to run Mark Twain Elementary School in Brentwood beginning next year. She'll be joined in Brentwood by Dr. Jane Oakley, an Assistant Superintendent of Educational Leadership at Ladue, who will serve as Assistant Superintendent there.

Petty-Rice has split her time between Spoede and Reed Elementary since 2010, and prior to that was a district technology coordinator and a teacher at Spoede and Oakley was formerly  Director of Student Services and a Assistant Principal.

Petty-Rice told her new district and her soon-to-be-former district have things in common, including valuing education and technology.

“I’ll be going to a , a school that is truly invested in children. It will allow me to have an opportunity to lead and share in the same vision,” she said.

A Ladue school district spokeswoman said the roles may not be replaced as administrators look for ways to streamline responsibilities.
