Missouri Baptist Looks To Expand Student Housing In Creve Coeur

Phase II of "Spartan Village" will be reviewed by the city's planning board later this month.

An architect working on behalf of has submitted site development plans with the city of as the school grows its on-campus housing options.

Phase II of the project calls for a second building which would house a total of 106 students in 11 units.

At the beginning of the current academic year, school officials said approximately 20 students were staying in housing arranged through Charter Apartments in Creve Coeur because on-campus spots were unavailable.

According to an October news release, the number of students living in University housing rose by 70 over the previous year, to approximately 285 students.

The plans for Phase II will be reviewed by the Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission March 19. They do not require City Council approval.
