New Sports Hall of Fame Members Inducted at Chaminade

The 101-year-old school added six athletes, a coach and one team to its sports hall of fame.

Inductees into 's Sports Hall of Fame were honored at its second annual dinner banquet for the occasion, recognizing six athletes, one championship team and one coach.

Honorees expanded throughout the preparatory school's 101-year history, noting record breakers, champions and dedicated program contributors. Families, classmates and former teammates reunited, privileged members receiving the honor on behalf of those who couldn't be there.

This year, only the second year since the formation of the Hall of Fame committee, Chaminade added the following members to its growing Hall of Fame:

  • Phil Todt, Class of 1918
  • Edward C. Gerker, Class of 1940
  • Robert O'Brien, Class of 1954
  • Peter G. Knese, Class of 1960
  • Robert G. Hausladen, Class of 1978
  • Scott M. Jostes, Class of 2007
  • Coach Jim Prag
  • 1992 Class 4-A State Champions Baseball Team

Alex Eckelman, captain of the 1992 baseball team, happened to be in town with the Cleveland Indians in an inter-league series against the St. Louis Cardinals as their advance-scouting coordinator. 

Inductees will be introduced publicly Sept. 21 at the Chaminade football game against Saint Louis University High School.
