'Newsweek' Offers Praise For Parkway and Ladue Schools

Parkway North and Central along with Ladue's Horton Watkins are listed as some of the best high schools around by one magazine; a recent U.S. News and World Report study offered another perspective.

Another week, another national study of Creve Coeur area public high schools....

Newsweek Magazine has ranked the 947th best high school in the nation. The magazine indicates 95 percent of the students are college bound, with a 94 percent graduation rate. It credits as being the 871st nationally, with 90 percent college bound and a graduation rate of 92 percent, which is lower than North's, but shows North scoring better on the SAT and the ACT.

Leading the way for Creve Coeur is , which came in at 188th nationally and 4th overall statewide.

The Newsweek study comes not long after the results of a U.S. News & World Report magazine study were published, which ranked Parkway Central 1604st nationally, and  

Newsweek did not rank .
