The student-government sponsored event is part of the school's "Save the World Week." Patch has details on how and where you can donate.

students are holding a toy drive to help make sure that every local child has a happy holiday. The students are collecting toys until Friday.

Unwrapped donated toys can be sent to school with the students and deposited in Mr. McKitrick’s classroom, room 2119, or in the receptacle in the commons. Additionally, the community may donate toys at one of two sporting events on Dec. 9.

On Friday, North High will host a girls basketball game against Ladue and a wrestling match against Rockwood Summit. Toy donors at the gate for either contest get a coupon for a free item at the concession stand that evening.

This event is part of North High’s “Save the World Week,” sponsored by the student government.

“Save the World Week helps Parkway North students give back to the community and make the holidays better for those who wouldn’t normally have a nice holiday,” wrote student journalist Lauren Hasse at the school’s news site, Norestar Online. “Student Government is making contributing to the week easy for students by making everything extremely accessible, so students should consider contributing as much as they can to the week.”
