Pattonville Board To Decide First School Day

The Pattonville School Board is set to vote on the first day of school for the 2012-2013 school year.

The Pattonville School Board is set to make a critical decision at its meeting tonight that will affect every student in the district: the date school will open for the 2012-2013 school year.

District administrators are proposing August 15 as the school year’s opening date.

The proposed date echoes the 2011-2012 school start date, which was also Aug. 15.

The board is also scheduled to vote on a proposed budget revision reflecting a net decrease in revenue and increase in district expenditures.

A draft of the budget revisions indicates the additional expenditures include three teaching positions not originally factored into the budget, a supply budget increase and capital budget increase due to the first payment on the Apple Lease Purchase agreement as part of the iLearn program.
