Pattonville Robotics Team Takes State Honors

Members of the "Green Army" clinched a spot in the World Championships in April.

This weekend, a team of Pattonville High School robotics experts proved they have the right stuff this weekend at a state tournament in Rolla, qualifying for a berth in April's World Championship competition.

Green Army Robotics Teams 2866 and 2867 competed in the Missouri FTC Robotics State Championship on Saturday at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla.

Team 2867 earned the first place Inspire Award, which according to a school news release, is "given to teams that embody all aspects of the FTC robotics program, being a top contender for every other award while excelling on the competition floor."

Team 2867 will now go onto the World Championship, held in April in St. Louis.
