Pattonville School Board To Vote On Budget Cuts

The Pattonville School Board will vote on an $88 million dollar spending plan Tuesday night.

The Pattonville School District Board of Education will vote Tuesday to codify what has already been spelled out in recent months in the form of budget cuts as the district puts an $88.5 million spending plan in place.

The final budget includes more than $2.6 million in reductions, including closing  Briar Crest Elementary, which brings in $755,000 in savings. The district found $563,000 in savings by eliminating seven support staff members, $525,000 in reducing teacher salary schedules and freezing administrator salaries.

The 7 p.m. vote on the budget will come after a 6:15 work session, with both meetings scheduled for the district's Learning Center Board Room at 11097 St. Charles Rock Road in St. Ann.
