Pattonville To Dedicate Aquatic Center With Weekend Activities

The new pool was built as part of a bond issue passed in 2010.

This weekend, the Pattonville school community unveils another project near completion as part of the voter-approved Prop K which passed in November 2010.

Friday night, Pattonville High School hosts an open house from 5:00 pm. to 6:30 p.m. at the new Pattonville Aquatic Center, followed by a 6:30 p.m. ribbon cutting, featuring members of the school's swim and dive teams spread out across the water to hold the ribbon.

Saturday, the community is invited in for an open swim from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. An alumni swimming and diving meet will also be held Saturday at 6 p.m.

Prop K, the district's $41 million dollar bond which came without a tax increase, saw improvements at schools across the district, with the highest-profile project being the new high school stadium facility.
