Report: Parkway North Band Director Saves More Than 100 Lives On Spring Break Trip

KSDK TV is reporting that Mark Linn came to the aid of bus driver who had passed out and guided the bus carrying Parkway North students and chaperones to safety.

A Spring Break trip to the Bahamas could have been tragic were in not for the actions taken by Parkway North Band Director Mark Linn early Thursday.

KSDK is reporting that Linn, aboard a bus in Georgia along with more than 120 others to make the trip to Orlando to catch a cruise to the Bahamas, got behind the wheel when the driver appeared to be unconscious and slumped over the wheel.

"We hit pylons and traffic cones and barrels and skidded off a guard rail once," Linn told the station. "I grabbed the wheel and tried to get his foot off the accelerator then put my leg between his and hit the brake and guided it to a stop."
