Report: Parkway Superintendent Wants Bus Driver Fired

KSDK-TV reports a Craig Elementary School student boarded the wrong bus and ended up on the side of the road in Creve Coeur Park Tuesday.

The start of a new school year is bound to have a few bumps in the road, and especially for Parkway, with dozens of schools and thousands of students.

But the district is facing criticism for an incident on Tuesday's opening day. 

KSDK-TV reports that a third grade student at ended up getting on the wrong bus Tuesday afternoon, and that the driver passed the young girl's home twice before letting her off two stops later.

The station talked to the woman who found the girl on the side of the road in Creve Coeur Park, as well as the student, her mother, and Parkway Superintendent Dr. Keith Marty.

The station said Dr. Marty has recommended the driver be fired over the incident.
