The Viewfinder: Spoede School Celebrates Black History Month

An art project honors famous African Americans.

The 4th grade students at marked February as Black History Month with an art project honoring prominent African Americans. The students designed large postage stamps with the likenesses of notable figures including Barack and Michelle Obama and Olympian Wilma Rudolph. These photos were taken by art teacher Jim Boland.
