'There Is Hope For A Tree': Priory Planting Blessed In Honor of Late Student

Brandon Hsueh died from injuries sustained in a cross-country running accident earlier this year.

Students at Junior School gathered outside on the grounds of the Creve Coeur campus in a brief ceremony Wednesday to bless a tree and bench in memory of Brandon Hsueh.

The project was paid for by some of the school's parents and students themselves, who wore red, white and blue bracelets and ribbons in Hsueh's honor at the ceremony.

Fr. Michael Brunner, Priory Headmaster, recited a portion of the book of Job during the blessing.

"For there is hope for a tree,
if it be cut down, that it will sprout again,
and that its shoots will not cease."

School leaders said Hsueh's family could not attend the event because they left to spend the holidays in Taiwan on Tuesday.
