Blues Fans Flock To Creve Coeur

Autograph seekers spent hours in line to meet T.J. Oshie and David Perron.

It's a safe guess that seven year old Dominic Young hasn't had a birthday like this before. The St. Charles County child and his parents were first in line Thursday afternoon for a free autograph signing featuring St. Louis Blues T.J. Oshie and David Perron at the store in Creve Coeur.

The family was among the first in line for the event, which began at 4:30. They waited in line for more than four hours to do it.

Those who followed were in a line which spread well around the outside of the store, as fans flocked to get a glimpse of two of the team's more popular players along with a signature. were on hand just in case for crowd control, and the nearby Jimmy Johns brought free samples to some of those who were waiting.

"Today's a great day," Dominic's mother Ashley said. "His birthday's going to be unforgettable. It's awesome. Words can't express it," she said. But the newly-minted seven year-old was able to find the words to describe why Oshie is his favorite.

"Because he's actually pretty good in games," he said
