Brad Beal Participates In Nike Hoops Summit, Gets Ready For North Carolina Next

Trip to Portland now past, Chaminade standout will be showcased in Charlotte later this week.

What a week for basketball star Brad Beal. Last Monday, the All-American guard was named r, complete with a round of H-O-R-S-E with former Georgetown and NBA star Alonzo Mourning after the award ceremony. We've attached an extended clip of the remarks Beal made at a ceremony marking the Gatorade honor.

He spent the tail end of the week in Portland, Oregon, as a starting member of the U.S. squad competing in the Nike Hoops Summit. Beal scored 8 points along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists en route to a 92-80 win over a world squad.

Beal's national roadshow has one more destination in the world of postseason all-star games. He started it all with the at the United Center, the home that you could say Michael Jordan built. Saturday, he's scheduled to participate in the game which bears Jordan's name, The Jordan Brand Classic, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
