Creve Coeur's Boys of Summer Lauded By The American Legion

The Creve Coeur post's baseball team won a district title and one player claimed MVP honors.

Creve Coeur's baseball team was feted by Post members Thursday night.

The club, which includes students from , and other local high schools and college programs, won a district title for the first time in 12 years.

Pitcher Brad Konecek, a Parkway Central graduate who now attends the University of Missouri but does not play baseball, went 8-0, and threw 5 complete games.

Blake Kolons was voted the District 10 Co-MVP, the first time a Creve Coeur legion player received the honor. He batted over .500 and had 50 RBI.
