De Smet Dominates In 28-0 Win Over Hazelwood Central

Star receiver Durron Neal had two touchdown catches and a touchdown run to power Spartans past Hawks.

CREVE COEUR -- The second-ranked Spartans showed why so many consider them one of the favorites to reach the state title game this year, by dismantling three-time state championship game participant Hazelwood Central, 28-0, Friday night at De Smet’s LaBarge Stadium.

Senior receiver Durron Neal had a big night for the Spartans, scoring three touchdowns, two on pass receptions and another on a 10-yard run, as De Smet avenged the two losses it suffered against Hazelwood Central last season, by dominating the Hawks in nearly every fashion on Friday.
