De Smet Grad Wes Kemp Getting NFL Shot

The wide receiver from Mizzou went undrafted this past weekend but signed a free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers.

It is unquestionably the dream of many football players growing up to hear their name called during the NFL Draft. But plenty of athletes who went on to win championships and also make a healthy living never had that pleasure. At a certain point, it may be in a player's best interest NOT to get drafted. Kemp talked about the decision with the Columbia Daily Tribune
