Doctor To Examine Donavin Newsom's Knee Wednesday

The Parkway North football standout was injured in last week's win over SLUH and was unable to finish the second half Friday against Rockwood Summit.

Linebacker/Tailback Donavin Newsom has been unable to finish the team's first two games this season due to a knee injury suffered in .

Head Coach Bob Bunton told highschoolsports.com's Nate Latsch over the weekend that it was an issue with the MCL--medial collateral ligament.

Bunton tells Patch that a team doctor will examine Newsom Wednesday. Parkway North faces another road test against University City on Friday. Over the summer, Newsom, a senior, gave a verbal pledge to play linebacker for the University of Missouri.
