Donnie White Talks About Division I Scholarship Offers

The De Smet Junior says he'll wait until after his senior season to make a decision.

As a high school freshman, Donnie White said he had his mind set on playing Division I football. White, now a junior at , now has two scholarship offers to do just that.

Within the last week, the defensive end received his first offer from Arkansas after a recent visit to Fayetteville, and just picked up another from Western Kentucky. A highlight of the Arkansas trip was getting a look at a slideshow of the school's multimillion dollar investment in upgrading football facilities.

While the offers are coming, so is the mail you might expect for a recruit. Included in the mix is this mock picture of a billboard he received from Arizona State.

White says he hasn't heard from the football staff at Missouri yet, but is getting mail from the school. In addition to the offers he's received, Scout.com, also lists him with Missouri, Northern Illinois, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, and Tulsa.

And Arkansas already has the attention of one of his teammates. The Razorbacks have offered Class of 2014 Offensive Lineman Andy Bauer.

White told Patch he'll wait until after his senior campaign to make a college decision, choosing instead to focus on the Spartans' season. "Nothing but the team is on my mind," he said, adding that there is already a chip on De Smet's shoulders, hoping to prove that they can win even without the talents of the soon-to-be-departed
