Eight De Smet Players Sign Letters of Intent to Play Football

Event is largest single-day college signing in school history, principal says.

Eight Spartans signed and delivered letters of intent to play football at colleges throughout the country this week. The first day athletes could officially do so was on Wednesday. With schools in the area closed Wednesday because of weather conditions, De Smet was one of severl schools to hold ceremonial events on Thursday once classes were back in session.  Assistant Principal Ken Luecke called the event the largest single-day signing in the school's history.
