The first Roslyn L. Schulte Memorial Senior Girls All-Star Lacrosse game at MICDS will pay tribute to the woman who grew up worshipping at Temple Israel

The first female graduate of the Air Force Academy to die in defense of her country during the war on terror will be remembered Wednesday for the passion she also gave to her high school athletic career.

This game is being organized by Judith Anderson, lacrosse coach at Ursuline Academy. The game is dedicated to the memory of Roz Schulte. Roz was an enthusiastic lacrosse player at John Burroughs who was a leader on a state title winner. She went on to graduate from the Air Force Academy and died in combat in Afghanistan in 2009. She received the Medal of Valor posthumously for her bravery and was recognized on Memorial Day at the .

Organizers of the game will present a memorial plaque to Bob and Susie Schulte, who, like their daughter, worshipped at in Creve Coeur. Bob Penke who also attended the Air Force Academy will present the plaque prior to the game.
