Parkway North's Football Season Comes To An End

The Vikings could not hold onto early leads against Webster Groves.

The Webster Groves Statesmen football team earned itself a spot in the Missouri Class 5 state football playoffs on Friday night, with a 38-24 home victory over Suburban South Conference rival .

Parkway North, which finished its season with a 5-5 record, led early by scores of 7-0 and 14-6, but Webster rallied with an 18-point second quarter, thanks to a field goal and a pair of touchdown passes by quarterback Rayshawn Simmons to grab a 24-14 lead by halftime.

In the second half, Webster extended its lead in the third quarter and cruised to its eighth victory of the season.
