Parkway North Student Earns Synchronized Skating Medal

A St. Louis team competed at the 2013 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.

Jocelyn Treadway, a student at Parkway North High School, recently earned a national medal for her team’s performance at the United States Figure Skating Synchronized Skating Nationals.  On the novice team, Treadway skates with others from across the area as part of the Metro Edge Figure Skating Club of Missouri.

Many of the skaters on this team have been together for three years and shared a goal with the newer skaters to earn a place on the United States Synchronized Skating National’s podium.  This goal was recently realized in Detroit, Michigan when Synergy Novice performed an Italian-inspired free skate that earned the team 59.74 points and a place on the podium with the fourth-place, pewter medal.
