Senior PGA Championship Means Road Closures And No Parking Zones

What you need to know navigating the area around Bellerive Country Club next week.

The city of Creve Coeur is providing the following information as the area gears up for traffic challenges brought on by thousands of spectators expected at Bellerive Country Club next week

The 74th Senior PGA Championship is being held at Bellerive Country Club from May 21 – 26, 2013. This will be the ninth major championship held at Bellerive. While the club is just outside Creve Coeur city limits, there will be an impact to local traffic. General spectator parking will be at Verizon Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights. Shuttle buses will run from Verizon to the event via Highway 141 to east on Ladue Rd. The event organizers are taking several steps to minimize the impact to residents.

ROAD CLOSURES

Certain road closures will be in effect from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm beginning on Tuesday and running through Sunday. Only vehicles with proper hang-tags, school buses, Metro buses, US Postal Service vehicles, and emergency vehicles will be allowed to travel within this area. Local service and delivery vehicles will be allowed.

MoDOT will close Ladue Road to through traffic from Mason Road to Highway 141. Westbound Ladue Rd traffic will be routed south on Mason Rd.

St. Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic will close Mason Road from Ladue Road to West Walling Drive. Residents of Enclave Bellerive and Bellerive Springs will be contacted by the PGA before the event and issued hang-tags that will allow access.

Chasselle Lane and Laduemont Drive will be closed. Residents of Belle Coeur and Ladue Conway Estates will be contacted by the PGA before the event and issued hang-tags that will allow access. The entrances to both streets will be staffed by personnel to check for proper access authority. The hang tags issued to residents will allow for immediate passage without being detained. Other vehicles with legitimate business or need will be allowed access. The checkpoint personnel will question these vehicle operators to ensure that entry is authorized. This will accommodate residents having service calls, deliveries, guests, functions, etc.

Further information may be obtained at www.pga.com/seniorpga/, the event coordinators at 2013SeniorPGA@pgahq.com, or by contacting Bellerive Country Club at 314-594-0148.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS FOR SENIOR PGA AT BELLERIVE COUNTRY CLUB
