Sign Me Up! Local Athletes Make College Pledges Official

Creve Coeur Patch has coverage of today's National Signing Day

Despite being brought up in the generation of Twitter and Facebook, the fax machine is probably the most important piece of technology for some Creve Coeur area athletes today. Wednesday marks the first day high school senior athletes in Football and a handful of other sports, can officially sign and submit their college letters of intent.

Despite the nearly unprecedented buildup playing out in Springfield, MO and the recruitment of Wide Receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, who will announce his decision on ESPNU this morning, there were no surprises so far for Creve Coeur area athletes. De Smet's Durron Neal, Parkway North's Donavin Newsom and Parkway Central's Brandon Sheperd all submitted their information to Oklahoma, Missouri and Oklahoma State, respectively.

Stay with Patch throughout the day, as high schools in the area hold ceremonies to honor the athletes, which also includes local soccer stars who will be playing at the Division I level.
