Watch:Tatum, Team USA Take On Mexico In U-16 FIBA Tourney

The Chaminade wing was selected to play on an elite squad made up of the best American boys basketball players under the age of 16 in

Chaminade's Jayson Tatum and his USA Basketball Under 16 teammates appear headed for an easy win in opening play of the FIBA World Championships in Uruguay.

Tatum came off the bench for 5 points in the first half of the team's matchup against Mexico. At last check, USA leads Mexico 68-16 at the half.

The club will face Argentina Wednesday.
