Red Cross Recognizes Creve Coeur Reverend

Reverend James Lacy of First Baptist Church of Creve Coeur was recognized for his volunteer efforts by the American Red Cross.

The following information was provided by the American Red Cross in a news release.

The American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter recently recognized volunteers at its annual Volunteer and Community Partner Recognition event at Grant’s Farm. 

The Red Cross recognized individuals and organizations in a variety of areas, during the event.

Reverend Dr. James Lacy with First Baptist Church of Creve Coeur received the Charles Drew Award.

"As the leader of the First Baptist Church of Creve Coeur, Rev. Dr. James Lacy encourages his congregation to give blood, get trained and donate to the Red Cross," the release stated. "His church has hosted blood drives since 2009, and members have supported Red Cross relief, contributing to the Oklahoma tornado, Superstorm Sandy and the Haitian earthquake efforts."
