Green Beret Casualty Fund Benefit & My First Blog Post

Labor Day weekend greetings and for my first blog post in the Patch I would like to invite everyone to a fundraiser we are holding this Saturday in Eureka. I am a member of the St. Louis area chapter of the Special Forces Association and e summer we hold the “Green Beret Casualty Fund Benefit” (GBCF). The Benefit provides needed financial assistance to the families of wounded and killed Green Berets and Local Area Families and Members of the Armed Forces. The fund distributes financial assistance to service members and families of All Branches of the Military. We will have a Green Beret A-Team from the 5th Special Forces Group from Fort Campbell complete with their equipment on site at the Elks Lodge in Eureka, as well as military reenactors, a silent auction, garage sale starting at 10am, vendors, food and drinks, and of course will be accepting donations. The Opening Ceremony is at 11am and the National Anthem will be sung by former Cardinal Football Player Jerry Holloway.
