Tax Rates, Orchard Lakes Deadline & More Homecoming Events

Our first look at what's going on around Creve Coeur this week.

Welcome back to the last full week of September at Creve Coeur Patch. It's a busy one for everyone. Here's a quick overview of some of the big things you should be following and that we are.

Monday night's Creve Coeur City Council meeting features a vote on your city tax rates. Members will also give the final sign-off on bid documents that will go out to companies interested in providing trash and recycling service starting next summer. You can read over the entire agenda here.

Wednesday could be an important day for the efforts of a pair of developers looking to buy out 250 residents in the Orchard Lakes subdivision. The developers aren't talking, but have reportedly said that September 25 is the deadline to accept a second offer. It is unclear if the developers would walk away from their efforts or attempt to reach out to residents individually after that point.

Friday night, St. Louis Priory will hold a Homecoming bonfire at 7 p.m. as a prelude to the Rebels' football game Saturday against Westminster Christian Academy.

And here's a heads-up about some coverage we have planned for Saturday, even though it isn't necessarily taking place in Creve Coeur. The Conservative Political Action Conference or CPAC is coming to St. Charles County. The list of speakers features Missouri political figures like U.S. Senator Roy Blunt and U.S. Representative Ann Wagner, in addition to former presidential candidates Rick Perry and Rick Santorum. If you had the chance to talk with them, what would you like to ask?

There's plenty more going on this week, but that's our first look. You tell us what you're watching for over the next seven days!
