Art In The Park, Flick On The Fairway And A Call To Serve

There is a lot going on this weekend in and around Creve Coeur!

The weekend after Labor Day offers an abundance of ideas for ways to get out and enjoy the weather, experience some culture, and to give back to your community. Here's a small sampling of what we found here and nearby.

  • St. Louis Art Fair: The Saint Louis Art Fair (SLAF) is a free, three-day celebration of the visual and performing arts in downtown Clayton. The fair opens Friday at 5 p.m. It continues from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Artists will be on hand with their work.
  • Fair U City: Sept. 6-8. The event coincides with the University City Jazz Festival this year. The entertainment goes all weekend long at University City's Heman Park.
  • Park Service Day: Want to help clean up and beautify Malcolm Terrace Park? Join city staff for a day of rolling up your sleeves and pouring some sweat equity into a city park.
  • Flicks On The Fairway: An outdoor movie returns to the Creve Coeur Golf Course Saturday night as "The Rock" stars in The Game Plan. The movie is free.
  • Art In The Heart: End your weekend with a relaxing day at Millennium Park Sunday that offers a chance to satisfy all your senses. Look at student artwork on display from Parkway, De Smet Jesuit and Whitfield School, listen to sounds from the brass section of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and taste what's cooking on site at food trucks. Sounds delish!
