HS Football, An Asperger's Play & The Marriage Whisperer
We've found five really good things to do this weekend in and around Creve Coeur.
- If you're looking to eat out somewhere, you can help the good people at St. Louis Crisis Nursery by heading over to Plaza Frontenac for a Celebrity Servers night Thursday at BRIO Tuscan Grille, Canyon Café, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse. Celebrities like Ladue High School grad and KMOV anchor Jasmine Huda, Isle of Capri CEO Virginia McDowell, St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch, and Patch editors Candace Jarrett and Lindsay Toler will be collecting tips to benefit St. Louis Crisis Nursery, starting at 4 p.m.
- This weekend in Clayton, catch a production of Asperger's: A High Functioning Musical, featuring plenty of local talent. The show opens Friday and runs through Sunday. We profiled the show's composer, Parkway North graduate Adam Rosen.
- High School Football is in the air. Chaminade will host a Red-White scrimmage Friday night, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. You'll have a chance to hear from the new head coach Antoine Torrey. On Saturday, De Smet Jesuit's football teams will scrimmage, with BBQ for team parents. The action there starts at 9:30 a.m.
- If you're looking for some relationship maintenance, you can meet an expert on the topic. Author Patt Pickett will be at All On The Same Page Bookstore to talk about her book, "The Marriage Whisperer".
- Who doesn't like the idea of an outdoor movie under the stars? Head over to the Creve Coeur Golf Course Saturday night for a screening of Cool Runnings, starting at 9 p.m. You can bring your own coolers, and there will be food available for purchase.
