Planning Panel Passes Post II Sports Bar Proposal

The spinoff of the Maplewood sports bar could open in June.

The owner of the Post Sports Bar and Grill in Maplewood gained Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission approval Tuesday on a conditional use permit to occupy space at Creve Coeur's Farmers Bank Shopping Center across from CityPlace. The decision now moves to City Council for a pair of readings, including one Monday night. Owner Adrian Glass has previously cited his restaurant's interest in the former Growlers Pub space there, considering its access to Interstate 270 and Creve Coeur's potential lunch and happy hour crowd. The Planning and Zoning Commission also voted to change city code which currently limits restaurant space in retail and office space under two acres in certain zoned areas to 25 percent of the entire square footage …

You are correct, and now that you refreshed my recollection, I remember that Growlers paid for a parking guard on the MoAmWater lot. Without the in and out traffic of Blockbusters, it could work out better for this pub.   more ›

Post II Sports Bar & Grill Targets June Opening

A conditional use permit will be in front of Creve Coeur's Planning and Zoning Commission January 22.

Since the Post Sports Bar & Grill opened in Maplewood in 2009, Owner Adrian Glass said "everything we've done was with the idea of growing" the business. The time to grow has apparently arrived, and the restaurant has found what it hopes is a home for The Post II Sports Bar & Grill in Creve Coeur. Glass has filed a request for a Conditional Use Permit to open the eatery in the former Growlers Pub space, vacant for two years at the Farmers Bank shopping center across from CityPlace.
