Furious Rally Lifts Pattonville Girls Hoops To Comeback Win On Hazelwood West’s ‘Red-Out Night’

The visiting Pirates come back from 12-point deficit to pull out remarkable 71-70 win over Wildcats.

The night started out as one of mutual celebration for both the Hazelwood West and Pattonville girls basketball teams in a charity game for heart disease. But the never-ending fight to promote heart health and awareness turned into a heart-stopping, instant classic of a ballgame, as the Wildcats and Pirates waged an epic battle that came down to the final whistle. Lindbergh Links: Creve Coeur History and Future Tied to the Boulevard

The Creve Coeur segment of Lindbergh Boulevard has a dangerous history, but improvements are still on the horizon.

It stretches some 30 miles through St. Louis County, and it's got some lengthy history behind it as well. Named after aviator Charles Lindbergh and dedicated in 1930, the road was once one of the most dangerous in the county. Patch will be profiling the road later this summer, and we want to hear your stories. Do you have any fond memories of Lindbergh you'd like to share, or do you just hate being stuck on it …
