Creve Coeur Police: Extra Patrols At Movie Theaters After Colorado Shootings
AMC, the national theater chain with 2 Creve Coeur locations, is responding to concerns over security following a shooting spree in Colorado that left at least 12 dead.
AMC Theaters, which operates two theaters in Creve Coeur among more than 5,000 across the country, said in a statement Friday that it was "actively working with local law enforcement in communities throughout the nation and under the circumstances we are reaching out to all of our theatres to review our safety and security procedures." The statement comes on the heels of a deadly evening of gun violence at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado that left 12 dead and dozens wounded at a midnight screening of the premier of "The Dark Knight".
