A China King representative has said the eatery is set to open next month in Creve Coeur.
China King, part of a chain of locally owned Chinese restaurants located in the bi-state area, gained final round approval from Creve Coeur's city council this week to open up shop in the Bellerive Plaza area. The restaurant proposal sailed through the city approval process without objection either in city council or planning and zoning proceedings. A spokesman for the restaurant owner previously told Patch the eatery was planning on a September opening.

China King has plans to open in the Bellerive Shopping Center.
Creve Coeur City Council members Monday gave first round approval to China King, the seventh in a chain of restaurants operated around the St. Louis. Planning and Zoning Commission members have already signed off on the proposed 1,465 square-foot, 32-seat eatery located in the Bellerive Plaza Shopping Center at 12784 Olive Boulevard. Ned Amos, speaking on behalf of the restaurant's owner Xiao Bin, told Patch Monday, if all goes as planned, China King could be open next month. China King gained Planning and Zoning Commission approval Monday night.
China King, a chain of six restaurants in the St. Louis and Metro East areas, is a step closer to adding an additional location in Creve Coeur. A request for a Conditional Use Permit was approved following a Monday night public hearing at the Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. The 1,465 square-foot, 32-seat restaurant would be located in the Bellerive Plaza Shopping Center at 12784 Olive Boulevard within the Schnucks/Bellerive Plaza Shopping Center. The restaurant's permit is now in the hands of Creve Coeur's City Council, for two readings before approval. The restaurant plans to be open seven days a week and offer carry-out, dine-in and delivery service.
