New School Signage Not Getting Creve Coeur's Seal of Approval
The Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School's plans to brand itself have run into trouble as far as city sign codes are concerned.
The newly formed Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School now housed on the campus of Congregation B'Nai Amoona in Creve Coeur may have something of an identity problem. The school, the product of a merger between The Saul Mirowitz Day School and the Solomon Schechter Day School, is trying to build a new brand in a new location. The problem, in the opinion of the Community Development staff with the City of Creve Coeur, is that the school's signage and proposed lightpole flags doesn't mesh with what is already on the B'Nai Amoona property at Mason and Conway Roads and in the residential neighborhood nearby While on the same property, the two entities are considered completely different entities, with the B'Nai Amoona essentially acting as a …
