The Chaminade College Prep grad made the Western Conference All-Star squad as a reserve.
Sunday night, West was best in the NBA. An All-Star team anchored by game MVP Chris Paul, Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin came out victorious Sunday over the East squad, 143-138 in Houston. Chaminade grad David Lee, representing the Golden State Warriors, came off the bench and scored six points and two rebounds in 13 minutes of play. It was Lee's second All-Star appearance, but his first time named by coaches. We used Storify to track some of the pictures and social media making the rounds before and during the game from Lee's fans around the country. The Chaminade grad participated in the NBA's Rising Stars game Friday night.
The NBA's All Star Weekend in Houston has a decided Chaminade feel to it. Bradley Beal started in Friday's BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, featuring the league's top rookies against the top second year players. He scored 12 points and had 4 assists as "Team Chuck", coached by Charles Barkley, defeated "Team Shaq", led by Shaquille O'Neal by a score of 163-135. WashingtonWizards.com went behind the scenes of Beal's media tour in Texas and caught up with the rookie guard as he spent time with his parents, who made the trip from St. Louis. Sunday, David Lee, who before Beal played in college at Florida before going onto the NBA, will see action in the All-Star game as a Western Conference reserve representing the Golden State Warriors. Chaminade Freshman has keyed the Red Devils' attack since switching to the point guard spot.
Move over David Lee and Bradley Beal. The Florida Gators now want another Chaminade talent when his prep career is over. Red Devils guard Jayson Tatum confirmed Monday that the Gator coaches have offered the freshman a scholarship. Tatum's switch to the point guard position after a late December game against John Burroughs has helped the Chaminade squad turn a corner. He has a pair of game-winning buzzer beaters to his credit, including one against archrival De Smet Jesuit. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch this week reported on the rise of the Red Devils.

The Charlotte Bobcats failed to win the first pick in next month's NBA Draft, despite the league's worst record, opening a potential new destination for the Chaminade star.
A lot can happen between now and June 28, the night of the NBA Draft. There is the pre-draft workout early next month where team execs can poke, prod, measure and compare prospects, including former Chaminade standout Bradley Beal, widely seen as a consensus top 10 pick. But Wednesday night, the selection process came into more focus as the draft order was finalized. The New Orleans Hornets upset the applecart and overcame the odds to get the rights to the first selection, all but assured to be Kentucky Forward Anthony Davis. The Charlotte Bobcats, owners of the worst record in the league, had the best odds of selecting first overall, but will instead pick second. Beal could easily be the direction they go at number 2. It will be …

Former Chaminade star David Lee is subletting a New York City area apartment to a new-found NBA sensation.
David Lee, the former Chaminade College Prep basketball standout who left his first NBA home in New York to play for the Golden State Warriors before last season, has apparently held onto his real estate holdings near the Big Apple. Now, according to the New York Daily News, Lee is renting out his White Plains apartment in Trump Tower to Jeremy Lin, the out-of-nowhere New York Knicks Guard who has taken the basketball world by storm with clutch performances on the sport's biggest stage. Lin recently told reporters he was sleeping on his brother's couch, unsure of how long he'd be in New York after he was signed to essentially sit on the end of the Knicks' bench. Now, after averaging 27 points and 9 assists over his last five games and …

The parallels between Bradley Beal and current NBA player David Lee are remarkable.
As one of the greatest high school basketball players in St. Louis-area history begins his transition to college, there is one individual who understands precisely what recent Chaminade graduate Bradley Beal is experiencing. In fact, the parallels between Beal and current NBA player David Lee are undeniably remarkable. Exactly 10 years ago, it was Lee who was arguably the biggest name on the St. Louis prep basketball landscape while also playing at Chaminade for coach Kelvin Lee (no relation). Following his stellar prep career, Lee played for Florida and coach Billy Donovan. Beal will also play for Donovan and Florida beginning this fall. In yet another twist of irony, David Lee’s father, Gary, has been coaching Beal throughout his time at…
