Watch Jayson Tatum's Game Winner Sink The Spartans

The Chaminade Freshman hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to defeat De Smet Jesuit.

Chaminade Varsity Basketball Coach Kelvin Lee was careful to say prior to the season that Jayson Tatum is not Bradley Beal. Tatum can play four spots on the floor, while Beal was always the shooter. Tatum has drawn the attention of Division I scouts ahead of Beal's pace, many of the same schools are once again beating down the door at Chaminade to catch a glimpse. Beal went to Florida. The Gators have been by to see the Freshman Tatum twice in the last two months, the latest on Friday, according to media tweets. Monday, Beal hit a game-winner for the Washington Wizards over the Oklahoma City Thunder. De Smet Jesuit Getting Nolan Berry Back After Recovery From Fractured Arms

The Spartan senior bound for Butler University has been cleared to play against Belleville East.

Thursday Update 8:45 p.m.  A little more than two months after suffering a pair of broken arms during a practice session, De Smet Jesuit could see the return of senior Nolan Berry to the court as soon as this weekend. In an email Thursday afternoon, Berry's mother Meg told Patch he was fully cleared to return by a doctor Thursday. This follows a December 20 doctor's visit that showed he was healing faster than expected. At the time, Meg Berry said the doctor wanted to see him back in two weeks for another round of tests. "At that point, if he is at 100% no pain, he should be cleared to begin full practices," she said via email.
