The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor, Fred Weber Inc., will reopen the closed portion of Ladue Road east of the new lanes of Route 141 before evening rush hour on Thursday, Dec. 1, weather permitting. Build some extra time for your commute into and out of Creve Coeur
Be prepared for a traffic shift starting Thursday on Olive Boulevard just outside Creve Coeur. All lanes of traffic on Olive Boulevard between Creve Coeur Crossing Lane and Woodchase Plaza will shift after the morning rush hour on Thursday, weather permitting. Lanes of traffic will shift slightly north onto a four-lane bypass, according to a Missouri Department of Transportation news release. The speed limit on the bypass will be 35 mph. Drivers will use the bypass until September. Traffic is being shifted so that crews can build the Olive Boulevard and Woods Mill Road interchange and bridge. The work is part of a $44.5 million project to relocate Woods Mill Road slightly east, which will reduce the possibility of flooding and ease traffic…

Closure was planned for earlier in the week but was delayed because of weather conditions.
Commuters making their way into and out of Creve Coeur will want to take note of construction work planned for Olive Blvd. and the east half of Ladue Road at the Woods Mill Road intersection later this week. Weather permitting, after Friday morning rush hour, drivers will detour around the closure using a new portion of Woods Mill Road. It will temporarily connect to Woods Mill Road at the signal in front of Parkway Central High School, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Drivers will be able to use the existing stretch of Woods Mill Road to reach the western half of Ladue Road and enter the Green Trails subdivision. The road will be closed for several months.
