Chaminade graduate Minkyu Lee's "Adam and Dog" was nominated for Best Animated Short Film.
Updated 8:03 p.m. The Chaminade community didn't need to wait too long into the Oscar evening to see if one of their own would win an Academy Award. Minkyu Lee, who directed "Adam and Dog", up for an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film, lost out to Paperman, which, ironically, was produced by Lee's own employer, Disney. With Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm comes an announcement of Star Wars: Episode VII, with an expected release in 2015.
It's a question nearly as old as the sci-fi genre: Should there be another Star Wars film? Well, folks, Star Wars: Episode VII is reportedly on the way. Disney announced its purchase of Lucasfilm on Tuesday, and pegged a 2015 release for the new film. More movies are expected to follow. Forbes reported that the deal includes $4.05 billion in cash and stock. Does that mean we'll see Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca on the big screen again, or do you think Disney will take a different approach to the new Star Wars movies?
