Have Any Idea What All the Property in the Ladue School District is Worth?

Several hundred million, but none of it is for sale other than the old Wright School property.

If someone was to sell their house, they would get a real estate agent or an assessor to put a valuation on that particular piece of property. The agent would add up the square footage, count the number of rooms, fixtures and value of the property and come up with a given figure. The Ladue School District is no different. Though no buildings will be up for sale (other than the location of the old Early Childhood Center), millions of dollars are wrapped up in value to the district. Here’s a look at the school buildings in the district, their founding years and current assessed valuations. Reed School, built in 1938. 60,565 square feet. The Schlafly clan wants good secular public schools about as much as they want to prove the theory of evolution correct. They don't care about the tax issue because they think too much is being spent, they care about it because the schools are secular. Update on Fifth Grade Center, Other Items on Ladue's Next Work Shop Agenda

Meeting Monday night includes update on search efforts for a new superintendent.

The Ladue School District school board will meet Monday night, 6 p.m. in work session at the district headquarters. The agenda for this meeting includes: Ladue continues its search for a new superintendent of schools, following the retirement and resignation of Marsha Chappelow in October. Chappelow vacated her office in November and will consult with the district until her contract expires the end of June. Applications from potential candidates are due by January 23 and the district will continue working with the national search firm of McPherson & Jacobson, Omaha, NE. Dr. James C. Christman, consultant to the Omaha firm and a professor at Pittsburgh State (Kansas) University is representing the Ladue School District with this national …
