Services Set For Stan Musial

The St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame legend died Saturday at the age of 92.

A public visitation for Stan Musial, the St. Louis Cardinals legend who died at his Ladue home Saturday at the age of 92, will be held Thursday at Cathedral Basillica, MLB.com reported Monday. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at the same location Saturday starting at 11 a.m. KMOX reports that Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, the Most Reverend Robert J. Carlson, Archbishop of St. Louis, and Bishop Richard Stika will officiate the mass. A procession will then lead to Busch Stadium for a ceremony at the Musial Statue. Creve Coeur Firefighter Mourned

Chris Ziegelmeyer died suddenly on Monday. He had been a firefighter-paramedic for the department for just over a year.

An electronic billboard for the Creve Coeur Fire Protection District is sharing a message of sympathy for a firefighter's loved ones. Chris Ziegelmeyer, a firefighter-paramedic, died on Monday. Ziegelmeyer, 32, had been with the department for the last 15 months and was also serving in the North Jefferson County Ambulance District. The district's headquarters are closed until after Friday's funeral service: Creve Coeur Fire Protection District spokesperson Jerry McQueen told Patch the department has made spiritual counseling available to those who seek it.
