The New Highway 141: What You Need To Know Before and After
A portion of Woods Mill Road will close after the new Route 141 opens to West County traffic this Saturday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will close a section of Woods Mill Road after the new stretch of Route 141 opens to traffic this Saturday. Read: MoDOT Cements Plans For Highway 141 Opening "The section, between the Parkway Central School campus and Ladue Road, as well as the currently closed section of Woods Mill Road between Ladue and St. Luke’s will remain closed until crews finish building the new connection with Ladue Road," MoDOT stated in a news release. MoDOT stated that Woods Mill Road is expected to reopen before school starts in mid-August, however, there will not be a direct connection between Ladue and Woods Mill roads until construction is compete. MoDOT Cements Plans For 141 Opening
Event July 14 promises the public an opportunity to walk, bike or run the new Highway 141.
The Missouri Department of Transportation provided the following news release: The Missouri Department of Transportation and St. Louis County will celebrate the completion of two projects in St. Louis County with a joined ribbon cutting event on Saturday, July 14. At that time, MoDOT and the county will open both the relocated Route 141 project and the Page-Olive Connector project. The public is invited to join MoDOT and the county for a morning's worth of events. The morning's celebration includes a 10K run on the new roadway, administered by Big Shark; a period of open walking, running and cycling on portions of the new highway; and a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Parking will be available at Parkway Central High School. Two I-64 eastbound lanes closed downtown weekday mornings Missouri Department of Transportation crews will close two lanes of eastbound Interstate 64 from 14th Street to 6th Street 5 a.m. weekday mornings until early May to prepare the roadway for upcoming repair work. All ramps into downtown will remain open, and the lanes will reopen by 2 p.m. Repairs on I-270 between Manchester and I-44 at night Crews continue to repair pavement on northbound and southbound I-270 between I-44 and Route 100 (Manchester Road) at night. Three More Weeks of Construction on Highway 141 and Ladue Road
If all goes as planned, Creve Coeur commuters should notice changes later this month.
In just under three weeks, on Nov. 22, anyone who drives Woods Mill-Highway 141 between Conway Road and Olive Boulevard, or Ladue Road at the 141 intersection should see a change, and feel relief that heavy construction may be over. MoDOT believes new bypasses and links among the old and new roads will open up for traffic. “In a perfect world, at the exact same time,” according to MoDOT Resident Engineer Jesse Jonas, three things will happen Nov. 22—a Tuesday. “This is where it gets crazy. A lot happens then,” Jonas said. When those three things happen, traffic will be in the configuration it will be in for most of the duration of the rest of the project. Ladue Road Traffic Alert After The A.M. Commute
Commuters in and out of Creve Coeur will need to adjust their routes for the next month or so.
A reminder to drivers: Ladue Road is set to close east of Highway 141 after Thursday morning rush hour. MoDOT expects the road to remain closed for 40 days as crews work to connect Ladue Road with the new Route 141 interchange. MoDOT advises drivers to use Mason and Conway roads as detours around the closure. Local traffic will be able to use Ladue Road between Mason Road and the closure, which will be right at Route 141. In a news release, MoDOT stated that the work is part of a $44.5 million project to relocate Highway 141 slightly east of its current location. The release states that the project will reduce the possibility of flooding on the route, as well as reduce congestion and improve safety. MoDOT said the project includes several…

Caution for Creve Coeur Commuters: Highway 141 Changes Coming
MoDOT will be closing Ladue Road east of 141 next week.
Ladue Road east of Highway 141 will close for up to 40 days on Thursday, October 13, after morning rush-hour commutes. Workers will be connecting Ladue Road to the new interchange that's been under construction for the past year. The area was scheduled to be closed starting Monday, but was delayed because of equipment availability issues. The new route and flyover bordering Chesterfield, and Town and Country, is designed to reduce congestion on Route 141 and at the same time ease flooding that led to traffic problems and potentially unsafe conditions.
