The two Metro Catholic Conference rivals face off for the right to continue in the state tournament. Patch will have live streaming of the game courtesy of FOX Sports Midwest.
Editor's Note: FOX Sports Midwest streaming service seems to be delayed for this game. Link here to FSM's site to find the De Smet Jesuit vs. CBC game. Friday night at Parkway Central, conference rivals will take to the court for the third time this season, with the most on the line. Last week, De Smet Jesuit (21-6) spoiled CBC's senior night last week with a 74-61 win that was more convincing than the score indicated. A CBC (20-7) club that is the athletic envy of any team in the state has at times struggled down the stretch when it has relied on shooting jumpshots. The Cadets broke out of that in the second half of Tuesday's district semifinal against Parkway Central to put away the Colts. The Spartans had no trouble dominating Parkway …
Patch will share FOX Sports Midwest's live streaming coverage of De Smet Jesuit-CBC and Chaminade-Ladue.
At least one Creve Coeur-area team will still be alive in pursuit of a state boys basketball title after Friday's district finals. There could very well be two. In a pair of 7 p.m. starts, Ladue will host Chaminade for the Class 5 District 2 title, while De Smet Jesuit will meet CBC at Parkway Central for all the marbles in District 4. Ladue (21-5) will put one of the best point guards in Cornell Johnston, along with frontcourt stalwarts Andrew Maddock and Austin DaGue up against a Chaminade (17-8) club headlined by Jayson Tatum, the co-player of the year in the Metro Catholic Conference and fellow first team All MCC Andy Kleinlein in the backcourt. The Red Devils are tall up front, with Jack Hummel, Will Gladson and Tyler Cook able to …

Junior Jordan Barnett was the game-high scorer with 25 points.
The Hot Read: In the team's first game back on the court since CBC was humbled by De Smet Jesuit at home on Friday, the Cadets shook off some early play that suggested a repeat performance could be in store, dispatching an upset-minded Parkway Central squad 70-50 in a boys district semifinal Tuesday night. Jordan Barnett scored 25 to lead the way for CBC (20-7). Pat McCaw added 15 and Zach Fischer had 14 for the Cadets. Parkway Central (15-14) was led by Nathan Biggs' 17 in defeat. The Cadets boast a junior class that is the envy of college recruiters around the country, but early on, CBC turnovers, combined with Parkway Central's ability to use back door cuts and the rim for protection on layups against CBC's interior strength kept the …

The Cadets had won two previous matchups with the Red Devils this season.
Update: Chaminade won by a final score of 75-68. Watch the embedded feed courtesy of Chaminade Athletics to see how it happened. The CBC Cadets will try to prove Friday night that you can defeat the same opponent three times in a single season when they take their 14-4 record on the road to Chaminade for a Metro Catholic Conference clash against the Red Devils. Chaminade (12-7) is a different looking squad than the one which fell to CBC in a a pair of matchups early in the season, with the move of freshman Jayson Tatum to the point guard position. The 6-6 phenom has posed matchup problems for shorter opponents since the switch, and has also been something of a late-game hero for the Red Devils with a pair of buzzer beating shots in …

Rams get 20 points from Andrew Maddock, and 16 points from Cornell Johnston in 60-58 victory over Cadets in championship game of DC Wilcutt Tournament.
TOWN AND COUNTRY -- From the moment he realized his team would be facing the No. 2 ranked team in all of St. Louis area basketball, in the championship game of the DC Wilcutt Tournament, Ladue High head coach Chad Anderson preached the same mantra over and over again. "I told our kids (Thursday) at practice, and (Friday) before the game," said Anderson, "in order for us to win the big games, you've got to believe in yourself, number one. You've got to compete. And you've got to trust your teammates. And I think that is the difference in this team and the past teams we've had. These kids believe." Well, that belief became reality late Friday night, as Ladue earned its biggest win -- possibly ever -- in a stunning 60-58 nail-biter over the …

Spartans were upset by Cadets in Meramec Tournament last week, but avenged that loss Friday.
A little over a week ago, the De Smet Jesuit High School boys basketball team – the same team that was ranked No. 1 in the area in most top 10 preseason basketball polls – suffered a mystifying 11-point loss to then-unranked rival CBC, in the semifinals of the Meramec Holiday Hoops Tournament. The hangover from that loss seemed to carry over to the next night, as De Smet lost the Meramec third-place game as well, and slipped all the way to No. 8 in the area in this week’s rankings. On Friday though, the Spartans looked like a team still angry about last week’s loss, as they completely dismantled CBC, by the score of 64-42, in a critical Metro Catholic Conference game at CBC’s D.C. Wilcutt Gymnasium. “It’s never fun to lose to CBC,” De Smet…
